It can be quite a task finding children’s books that are both educational and entertaining. Two Lyon Cousins is committed to producing books that resonate with kids’ experiences, expand their worlds, and foster a lifetime love of reading early on. Author Geri Lyon, aka Grandma Geri, brings a little bit of magic to seemingly everyday events, sprinkling her stories with the kind of whimsy and playfulness that will leave your little one asking, “What happens next?”
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ “The four-year-old for whom I bought this book [The Runaway Letters] was enchanted with it! I loved seeing his eyes light up. He pointed his little fingers at the pictures and curled into his grandmother’s arms as she read to him. I’ll look for more books from this author, who clearly knows how to engage children.”

When Grandma Geri visits her grandchildren one snowy day, she finds herself embroiled in a mystery. Follow Geri and the kiddos as they track down the missing letters in this delightful detective story.
The Runaway Letters was chosen as a BookBaby Book of the Day.
Have you ever thought about how tooth fairies keep track of all those kids with all those loose teeth all over the world? Just how many tooth fairies are there? Have tooth fairies ever fought over a tooth? And might such a fight cause an international incident? Who knew being a tooth fairy was such a tough job?
These questions and many more will be answered in Grandma Geri’s next book, The Battle of the Tooth Fairies. We’ll keep you posted on developments.
Congratulations, Namers-in-Chief! Thanks to the creativity of our young readers, the stuffed animals from the pages of The Runaway Letters now have their own names!
Grandma Geri and the rest of Two Lyon Cousins, LLC, had a wonderful time reviewing the “Help Us Name the Animals” submissions.
Here are the contest results:
The animals love their new names! Our thanks to all who participated in our contest.
Author
Geri has worked as a newspaper columnist, a public relations director, and is a retired Presbyterian minister.
Growing up in New York City’s Throggs Neck neighborhood in the 1950s was an adventure. Geri took pleasure in exploring along the shores of the East River during all four seasons, but she particularly loved the summer—swimming during the days and watching the fireflies at night.
Geri has always loved reading and writing. Her treasured copies of The Wizard of Oz and Little Women were too worn out to pass down to her own children! As a kid, one of her favorite Christmas presents was a small orange portable typewriter. She didn’t realize then that the simple stories she banged out on that typewriter were practice for her encore career as a writer.
